CLEAN, EVEN, AND PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED LED RECESSED LIGHTING
Modern slim-profile LED recessed lights fit almost any ceiling: plaster, drywall, low basements, and insulated attics, with far less cutting and patching than the old cans. They're dimmable, run cool, use a fraction of the energy, and last for decades.

At Cape Cod Electrical, we design the layout before we cut a single hole. That means proper spacing, the right beam angle for the room, matching color temperature throughout, and dimmers that actually work with the fixtures.

Our installations are designed to:
• Light the whole room evenly with no dark corners
• Look intentional and built-in, not bolted on
• Dim smoothly from full brightness to a soft glow
• Work with your existing switches or new smart controls

This is not a quick, patchwork solution. It is a long-term upgrade to how your home looks and feels every evening.
WE HANDLE EVERYTHING FROM START TO FINISH
Adding recessed lighting should not mean holes in the wrong places, a patching job you didn't plan for, and dimmers that don't work. We take care of the entire process so you don't have to. From the first visit to the final switch flip, everything is handled by our team with clear communication and clean execution.

We take care of:
• Lighting layout and fixture count for each room
• Fishing wire through finished ceilings with minimal disruption
• Slim LED or traditional can installation
• Dimmer and switch upgrades, including smart dimmers
• Color temperature and trim selection
• Clean, patch-ready cutouts and finishing
• Permit and inspection where required

For remodels and new construction, we coordinate with your builder so the lighting plan is set before the drywall goes up and done correctly the first time.

Every room is different, and the right lighting depends on ceiling height, how you use the space, and the look you're going for. We walk you through your options and help you choose what makes the most sense, not just what is cheapest upfront.

Between fixture types, trim styles, color temperature, and dimming options, we'll help you get lighting that fits how you actually live in the room.

Common installations we do:
Even task lighting over counters, islands, and work zones, with dimming for evenings. We lay out fixtures around cabinets and range hoods so nothing casts a shadow where you're working.
A balanced layout that lights the whole room without glare, paired with dimmers so you can go from bright to cozy. Ideal for rooms with fans, beams, or vaulted ceilings.
Slim LED fixtures sit nearly flush with the ceiling, so you keep every inch of headroom. Perfect for finished basements and low ceilings where surface fixtures get in the way.
Soft, dimmable lighting that replaces dated flush mounts and single-bulb fixtures. Hallways get evenly spaced lights so there are no dark stretches.
Wet-rated fixtures over showers and tubs, placed around vanities so you're not lit from directly overhead. A clean look that holds up to Cape Cod humidity.
Weather-rated recessed lights in soffits, porches, and covered entries for a clean, built-in look outside. Great for lighting walkways and entry doors without visible fixtures.
WE'LL HELP YOU CHOOSE THE LAYOUT THAT'S RIGHT FOR YOU
Between fixture types, trim styles, color temperature, and dimming options, we'll help you get lighting that fits how you actually use the room.

Our generator stopped working during the blizzard, the next morning we left numerous messages with a large well known electrical company that serviced it. They were closed. In a panic, I went to google and started making calls and leaving messages. My mom is 85 yrs, bedridden, and needed heat. I was so lucky! My third call and a wonderful lady answered. I explained what happened and she said she’d get Nick out to us in an hour. She’s an angel! Nick got here even sooner. Diagnosed the situation, the generator was doa, he said I can get one installed tomorrow for you if you’d like. We liked! By 2pm the next day we have a beautiful Generac that will power the whole house.
The crew that came were polite, funny, totally professional, and hard working! Cape Cod Electrical is now our electricians for all our needs. I can’t recommend them enough. I love that they’re a small business on the Cape who care about their customers.

Questions Homeowners
Typically Ask
It depends on the room size, ceiling height, and what you do there. We design the layout on-site and show you exactly where each light goes before we cut a single hole.
Yes. Slim LED fixtures need only a small cutout, and we fish the wiring through the ceiling with minimal patching. Most finished rooms can be done without opening up the drywall.
Often not. Older dimmers cause LED flicker or buzzing. We pair the fixtures with compatible dimmers so they dim smoothly all the way down.
Most Cape homes look best at 2700K to 3000K (warm white). Kitchens and workspaces sometimes go slightly cooler. We'll show you samples so you can see the difference before we install.
It varies with fixture count, ceiling access, and switching. We give a firm written quote after seeing the space, so there are no surprises once the work starts.
In Massachusetts, new circuits and most new wiring require a permit and inspection. We pull the permit and handle the inspection for you.

Why Cape Cod Homeowners Choose Us
Choosing the right electrician matters just as much as choosing the right fixtures. Here is why homeowners trust Cape Cod Electrical with their recessed lighting.
We are not here to do the quickest install, we are here to do it the right way.

DARK ROOMS, DATED FIXTURES, AND LAYOUTS THAT NEVER LOOKED RIGHT
A lot of Cape homes still have a single ceiling fixture in the middle of the room, or worse, no overhead lighting at all. Kitchens feel dim at the counters. Living rooms depend on lamps. Finished basements and low ceilings make it worse.

We also see recessed lights that were added over the years with no plan: uneven spacing, mismatched color temperatures, cans that buzz on the dimmer, and holes in the wrong places. Good lighting isn't just "more lights." It's the right number, in the right spots, at the right brightness and color.

At the end of the day, most homeowners are dealing with:
• Rooms that feel dark or uneven, even with the lights on
• Old fixtures that don't match the rest of a renovation
• Recessed lights that flicker, buzz, or won't dim properly
• No clear plan for where lights should actually go
